The Update Firmware page hosts the Boondock Echo Installer. This installer updates your Boondock device with the latest firmware enhancements and improvements.
Choose Your Firmware Update Type: On the Boondock Echo Installer page, select from the different updates.
Initiate Connection:
Select your preferred firmware (Nightly, or Latest Stable)
Click "Connect"
A dialog box will prompt you to select the port your device is connected to. Choose the relevant port and click "Connect"
Device Dashboard and Installation:
The Device Dashboard dialog box will appear, displaying the "Install" option for your selected firmware, along with logs and console access.
Click on "Install" to start the installation process.
You can see the logs of your dock but more on that later.
Option to Erase Data:
If you need to erase all data, click "Erase Device."
If you want to retain your data, don’t check this option and proceed by clicking "Next."4
Final Confirmation and Installation:
Click "Install" for a final confirmation, then wait for the installation to complete.
Once finished, you'll see the message "Installation Complete." Click "Next" to return to the main screen.
Once the installation is completed, you will see the message "Installation Complete." You can return to the screen by clicking "Next."
With these steps, you can successfully update your Boondock device!
You can view all the logs of your dock by clicking on the "Logs and Console" options.
These logs provide detailed information about the dock's activities, including the startup process, LED status, hardware initialization, and any other relevant events. This allows you to monitor the performance and troubleshoot any issues with the dock's hardware and software components.
